It puts Hamas crashout in a different context. Hamas attack against Israel led to the deaths of thousands of Palestinians, extinguishing millions of future Palestinians.

Those lost souls if given a choice would have preferred if Hamas didn’t do October 7th
This happened before October 7th and after October 7th. The only difference is that you now have supposed pretend liberals carrying water for the ethnostate known as israels illegal occupation and genocide of the Palestinian people. It actually exposed the fake liberals as yourself.

Where did I say they were stupid for doing a violent uprising?

It was more of a philosophical question, do you wish your direct bloodline ancestors violently fought slavery if it meant your bloodline would be extinguished afterwards?

Meaning you, your children, your parents, grand parents etc would never exist
Stop.

Just stop.

Stop now.

Don't bring slavery into these discussions. It cheapens the legacy and also the people who fought for us to be free. That isn't just the civil rights movement, but every revolt, every slave that stood up against his/her oppressors knowing the consequence.

That legacy is too soaked in blood of brave heroes for these types of philosophical questions.

Do you think that Hamas actions on October 7th has brought Palestinians closer to liberation or pushed them further away?

I didn’t know having the mentality “violence isn’t the answer” was such a taboo stance on the left

See? You can ask about Palestine and their actions without referencing slavery.

Continue to do so.

I think October 7th accelerated the timeline significantly, but i also the believe the conflict was on this timeline anyway.

I wasn’t the first one that brought up slavery in this discussion. I used it as a devil’s advocate thought experiment though

Deep spiritual sigh

Again this retarded assumption assumes

1. That the other side is acting in good faith and will reward lying down with freedom. When the fukk has this ever happened in the history of civilization?

2. That non violent approaches have not been tried. They have. And they failed. A peaceful march to the Gaza border was met with bullets and death. Do you think any rational being chooses violence unless faced with the possibility that this is the most feasible option left to seize initiative even if death is a possibility?

And that's why education is important. A Civil War was fought to end slavery. Colonialism was ended through massive struggles in Algeria and Vietnam, or entities like the British under the threat of violence deciding they didn't want smoke. Apartheid in South Africa was ended through violent constant struggle. MLK got progress because of the threat of violence from the other side fed up.

"Violence isn't the answer" how is it not the answer when it is the language of the oppressor? Can you hear yourself right now?

This is Higher Learning, this is precisely the time and place for these conversations. Only disrespect cheapens the legacy. Not mere conversations.

None of us have a crystal ball.

However what we do know is that YahooNeta has not shown any desire to move towards a two state solution despite prodding by US administrations from both sides. We know that extreme right parties have been driving the Bantustanization of the West Bank, carving out settlements. We know Gaza's status as an open air prison for decades.

Please for fukks sake, what are the chances of a passive non-violent approach succeeding against this evil apparatus?

And we have some poster on here saying that people retaliating against this need to think more about their unborn children and descendants than their living descendants who are in this hell?

I don't even want to know what else is in the Hasbara playbook at this point.

Nah, people have brought slavery and a myriad of other black American issues to get black Americans to care more about this issue than the issues they faced at home.

1.) civil rights movement, Indian independence movement, peoples power revolution

2.) they’ve tried & haven’t found a strategy that has worked but it doesn’t mean they should have gave up on gaining liberation through peaceful means. Murdering innocent civilians in Israel definitely didn’t help their cause for liberation. Warhawks in Israel wanted a reason for a genocide and they got one.

3) not true, civil war was fought by two semi equal forces, it wasn’t fought by slaves versus America.

My stance is that if you’re oppressed it’s more wise to search for peaceful means for liberation than get steamrolled by a far superior force.

Your view of history is biased to fit your narrative. MLK threatening violence wasn’t the reason the civil rights act passed, the civil rights movement being largely peaceful but still getting their heads beat in and that being shown by the media is what caused the support for equal rights to grow.

Do you honestly think if the view of civil rights activists being terrorist similar to Hamas would have been met with capitulation by cac America or would that have given them an excuse to ethnically cleanse?

Which ancestors of yours led a slave revolt and lived to tell about it?
Every black person who was enslaved in this country is my ancestor. I don't need slavery stories from survivors to believe it happened. I know that's something you pretend liberals care about

That’s not what ancestor means. You got in your feelings when you didn’t even understand the point I was making

These Palestinian supporters really be showing they ass huh.

Democrats need to wash their hands of them. I know I have. They’re grifters, and the faster everyone sees that the faster we can reunify this damn party.
