You guys want to believe this and I’m not accusing you or @Pressure of being bad people but one could draw that conclusion based on what you’re doing. It is very easy to draw the line and implication that you’re arguing that a “fad” and protests were never legitimate and should not have been real topics during the election. You guys both responded repeatedly running up the election that Trump is worse lol - so what’s your option? This whole “Trump is evil” spiel ignores that every happening now was happening during Biden’s administration. But if it’s a fad - then you were justified in not taking it as seriously. But it wasn’t and you don’t have the moral stance on this. In fact, it’s the most immoral position any of you have taken at any point since we’ve all been posting here. It’s literally why I gave up on this board.
The only difference is that Republicans don’t even pretend to give a shyt. The reason Democrats get protested more is because presumably they are the anti-war party and can be moved - no one has any belief in moving Republicans. You expect something from your friends - you both know this but are stuck on this centrist/leftist ish that as black men - who know this sort of evil better than anyone you’re playing a political tightrope for no reason. Call it plain - this genocide began under a Democratic administration and continued under a Republican one. Neither stopped it. Biden was a significant downgrade from Obama and Kerry in regard to containing Israel.
And more importantly - you’re also clearly both dancing over the fact that the real reason the protests died is because the protestors started getting prosecuted, getting their degrees withheld and otherwise punished. It was a complicit act by both parties and their donors to stomp it out and make people choose between their ethics and livelihood. The University of Michigan literally hired covert domestic operators to follow protestors around and when black protestors put them on camera and pointed out that they were being followed - they pretended to be robbed or assaulted. Literally tried to get black men arrested on fake charges. The Michigan Daily and other papers had to reveal it and then that group was fired. I won’t even start with what happened at Columbia and at every PWI in America.
There’s just some sort of cognitive dissonance that’s happened to your brains where admitting that the left may just have a fukking point on something like this is some sort of defeat. Like are you kidding me?
Both parties recognize Israel as our primary ally and both parties are flush with pro-Israel dollars. It’s not complicated. We learned this shyt in political science when I was 19. You said a lot. I’ll respectfully disagree with you on many of your thoughts including the point you made on not protesting republicans because we shouldn’t expect them to be moved. That would make as much sense as my ancestors not protesting bull Connor because they weren’t friends. They also had their livelihoods threatened and in many cases their lives literally ended.

I’ve been consistent that the collective world community doesn’t care enough about Palestine or Hamas to prevent Israel from getting their bloodlust.
And frankly, I’ve said after the election folks will move on from it and it seems they have to a similar extent as Russia/Ukraine.
The end of the day the typical American voter is cynical to the point they’ve elected Trump twice and their concern over Ukraine/Palestine is merely not wanting their tax dollars being spent as a fiscal issue more so than a moral position.
Either way, I’d have liked to have been wrong and the white hats came out on top.
