It’s a legit question. There are people in Gaza who are angry at Hamas.
It's a legitimate question— which he answered in the first two minutes which is exactly why it's dishonest. For them, living under occupation feels just as devastating as living through an active genocide. Obviously, people who’ve lost family members will be angry at insurgency groups—that’s pretty self-evident. But those groups wouldn’t exist if the actual oppressor weren’t systematically stripping civil rights and imprisoning dissent for the past 80 years. I'm no hamas fan but its easy to see the adults in gaza wouldn't be happy being in an open air prison for their entire lives

Yes. This is true.

But there’s members of Hamas’ own Shura Council who didn’t want to attack. They knew they didn’t have Hezbollah and Iran on board. They also knew how crazy this Israeli government is.

Plus the disconnect from the leaders in Doha and Sinwar.

Hamas are imbeciles. I’ve always said it. But of course they’re the biggest faction that’s lead armed resistance to occupation since 2007 blockade after their civil war with the PA

if the arabs are going to negotiate treaties on behalf of gaza they might as well just let them emigrate and nationalize them

What do ya'll think of this "peace deal".

To the untrained eye, I can see people slobbing over it. But putting Trump at the head of a "board of peace" and making them pick, "technocrat, apolitical, Palestinians" would basically make it a suzerain of the US. And, Hamas has to demilitarize.

IDK...feels like the usual skullduggery to me.

I’m sure the usual suspects will barely be finished brushing their teeth before they run in here to salute Mr Trump. But they don’t call him the dove for nothing.

It is essentially the one presented by Biden on May 31, 2024.

There's not much difference.

So many lives lost for nothing. And so much destruction for nothing since then.

Netanyahu got 16 months more of war to survive. Smotrich is trashing him on Twitter as we speak. His coalition needs the ethnic cleansing and settlement project to take hold. Gaza has just been a demolition site since May 2024 when Rafah was completely destroyed. House by house. $1,500 per building paid for each bulldozer contractor.

If there is an international stabilization force (ISF), most of the Arab countries and Indonesia will probably deploy around 40,000 troops to Gaza. Indonesia has already pledged over 20,000.

Not falling for this shyt at all. It's already set up to be entirely contingent on Hamas, and at the same time Bibi is saying he won't rule out strikes on the negotiators and still does not support a two state solution. Choice quotes are "if Hamas agrees", "Gaza will be redeveloped", "Palestinians will have the choice to stay (which implies they expect the choice for them to get out or pay the price)", "Israel will have full backing of the US to continue military operations" if Hamas doesn't agree to the terms, and a fukking peace board led by Trump and Tony fukking Blair? The fukking Brits are trying to go back to the scene of the crime?

Obviously in a day or two Bibi is going to say Hamas didn't agree or reneged and now full support of the US to clean it up. Just like the other 3 or 4 "pauses" or "peace treaties".

Netanyahu will face enormous pressure from within his coalition in the next day to thwart the plan, to toughen its conditions, and to convince Hamas that it's a conspiracy.

In parallel, there will be briefings by commentators on behalf of Netanyahu, surely Amit Segal has already started, on how the agreement actually allows Israel to continue fighting Hamas, and the withdrawal will never happen, and the perimeter will be annexed and so on.

These are the same tactics we've seen throughout the past year in all rounds of negotiations, and they will be employed this time in an especially strong manner. The story is far from over.

That was the biggest sticking point to me. At what point would these man say "actually" we'll stop and NEVER have a fighting force again. What Arab nation would agree to that with Israel in the room?

shyt sounds like :duck::duck::duck::duck:
