When you look at the Qbs taken in the same class as Mccarthy- he's way behind. Caleb, Bo Nix, Penix Jr, Drake Maye, Daniels. Now if you wanna go and say they got their feet wet last year, ok fine. But Mccarthy had a whole season sitting on the bench while rebabbing, I know mental reps aren't the same as the actual game. But he should not look this bad. When you look at this system and the weapons Mccarthy has, he shouldn't be this behind the other class members. I'll give him one year after this.

How is he way behind when he has played about 5 games? Caleb last year looked like ass. Penix hasn’t stood out. McDaniels cooked last year and is now hurt. Bo Nix doesn’t do all that much and has a stout defense. This some shyt that sounded good in your head though

Caleb didn't look like ass last year. He threw for over 3,500 yards, 20 touchdowns against only 6 interceptions. He set the rookie passing record for most attempts without an interception. So the narrative is dumb considering that his offensive coordinator was fired midway through the season. His head coach was fired with a month left in the year and his position coach finished the year as the offensive coordinator/ head coach. His offensive line was so bad that only one guy is in the starting lineup this year.

This is Caleb's first year playing for Ben Johnson. JJ McCarthy has been in the Minnesota system for 2 years.

JJ retired from the sport after beating Ohio State for the second straight time, and winning the national title vs. Washington. He only has 1 loss in his entire career as a starter, at any level. Truly a legend
