Well you can tell that Joe caught himself and almost referred to himself as their boss but didn’t and said he’s the person “responsible for the job”
So I want to preface my comments here - I am a 20 year long Joe budden fan, I mean I been a fan since 03 type fan
Mood Muzic 2 and 3 are probably some of the most important pieces of music to me- and Ive been following the pod for years.
Thats number 1
Number 2 is that honestly Ice and Ish are probably better at this point than rory or Mal- The problem with rory or mal is they both are a little too emotional and both too industry at this point to really have many good conversations. They do know hip hop really well and that I respect
BUT - I honestly in all these years of following joe, even knowing he is a massive narcissist, I've never seen him be as stupid or disrespectful as he was on this pod. It isnt that Joe doesnt have some good points, it isnt that the show shouldnt have went on it should have. Its just crazy how he talks his way in and out of boxes that make no sense, screams about nothing and then circles back to the same argument yet has changed it. listening to him here today was painful. Him telling them he doesnt have to respect them while telling them he doesnt care about contracts but that he does was one of the stupider things ive heard from him.
Joe was more fun with ice and ish...and that isnt even a knock on rory and mal joe just is terrible to rory at this point and Mal doesnt respect joe and joe knows it....I would probally close the chapter on the 3 of them just me

This was probably one of the most absurd things I've heard Joe say in 20 years, mind blowingly stupid and only something joe could come up withImagine if your homie told you, "Jay Z told me So what? once" while you're having a conversation about respect

This episode had a negative vibe. Mal and Rory have become closer as friends and less close to Joe it seems. Let's see how this next 6 weeks play out. They need some good energy

I’m watching it now and yeah I think the chemistry between Joe, Mal and Rory will never be the same as it used to be before it ran stagnant and dry.
Mal repeated himself way too much with the respect thing and I disagree with his stance on Rory....There’s no doubt that Rory was on edge and needed a break from the show because he was losing it. I felt Joe was looking out for his well being while also trying to keep his investment from crashing.
I also see that Joe is a nikka that you can’t expect to be 100% loyal especially these days when he has rebranded himself as this big time Entrepreneur/World Famous Podcaster.
Joe is indeed a Narcissist and I wouldn’t put up with all that shyt Mal and Rory does but hey that’s on them.
At end of the day, Joe is the show and proved that he don’t need neither Mal or Rory. Rory is just not fun to listen to and be in his feelings too much. Mal just repeats the same damn phrases and shyt...
Joe, Parks, Ish and Ice are a championchip winning team.

I think Mal's argument over Joe telling Rory to take time off is that it's a decision that should be ran by everyone to get all inputs first because it's a decision that effects the chemistry of the podcast. He wasn't mad that Rory had to take time off, and rory seemed like he agreed that he needed the time. Mal was mad that Joe told him it's none of his business when he questioned him because he feels like they have a long friendship and he helped build the podcast.
They don't understand that it's really just business for Joe, he doesn't need or care about anyone he can't use to reach a new level.
Podcast is better with ice and ish, Now Joe knows for sure moving on from Rory and Mal wouldn't hurt his brand in any meaningful way, and he's not afraid to tell them that he doesn't give a damn about their grievances and they get no respect from Joe.

funniest part of this episode was Budden tapdancing around the fact that he wanted to say "You nikkas are employees...u lucky i even let yall come back
