they're not children. it's their responsibility to understand what they were signing. It's 2021 and ppl are still getting fukked over on contracts because they're too lazy to read. not to mention, both rory and mal know all about contracts because they worked in the industry before. rory worked at a dam record label. they were kii kiing at meg the stallion for her contract troubles.

Yeah, I already stated they shouldn't have not checked the papers. It's completely fine to acknowledge that both sides fukked up here, seeing as nearly every disagreement ever can be broken down to that on an objective basis.

But what sucks is that Joe is giving every impression that even if they had checked the contracts and wanted to negotiate, he would've been offended by that shyt as well.

Facts. There is no other reason why you would go as far as firing the person (your good friend), who is asking to see the books instead of just letting them see the books if you're not doing some dirty business. Anybody who doesn't see that is just lost in Budden's gift of gab.

When you're doing legit, tight, good business you actually want people to see your books, you're proud of yourself, for real. Same as when you're not cheating, you got no problem leaving your phone on the couch when you and your girl watching a movie or sumn when you go to the bathroom, there's nothing to hide. Charlemagne, envy and Angela yee are more popular and essential to the breakfast than mal and Rory to JBP and they don’t even have ownership in the breakfast club. They been doing it for almost 10 years. At most, Charlemagne got partnership deal with a podcast network.
