Good episode. In Joe’s defense, that sounds like something small that gets misinterpreted in the midst of being in a dispute. Joe probably read that move as “fukk Patreon we don’t want it” if tensions were already high.

They didn’t explicitly say it but the Spotify deal seems to be the sticking point they keep eluding to in the list of demands. Mal and Rory don’t know how much they turned down and want to know now and Joe won’t tell them.

Both parties made good points and this is a case of bad communication and emotions. Mostly at the fault of Joe. But just like they find it funny that Joe acts weird about accounting when they bring it up, he probably thinks it’s weird they keep bringing it up too. Being in a relationship with someone notoriously bad at maintaining relationships is probably not the best idea.

Yea but you account for the Tidal deal being something Elliot Wilson talked to Rory who then brought it to Joe. Joe flipped out bc in his mind, he should be the one talking deals. Then right after that, he gets everybody together saying he got a deal from Tidal...same shyt Rory talked to him

It would not have been a problem either but if you're getting paid the same amount whether you do 1500 or 2000 people a show.....that's a problem . And them asking for accounting is not something you flipped out and get defensive over. that's what you agreed to. Joe himself said he didn't want to give them any accounting.

And notice how Joe never mentioned that they have a profit sharing agreement in his rant on Wednesday?
