I remember when I first heard this story like 15+ years ago on one of those beef DVD’s and thinking how much Royce had to of been mad at him because he fukked up his career, but in hindsight it was probably one of the best things that could’ve happened..

unless you were Em, 50 or already well established a lot of those people around Dre in 2000 didn’t go anywhere, it was better Royce carved his own way and built up a following, now he’s doing better than ever and highly respected as an mc, Game would of been in the shelf for a few years and dropped like Truth Hurts or Hitman if it wasn’t for 50/g unit

Royce built up a following but never hit that big mainstream success that I thought he was talented enough to reach. I thought the Keno comments came after Royce had already signed a record deal elsewhere which put him in the dog house with Dre and kept him off the Chronic 2000 album. Then him pulling out of Em's tour to work on his own album got Em pissed at Royce since he did it abruptly and left Em hanging. It was funny how Royce used to play it like Em and Dre were mad that he didn't sign with them and that's why they didn't fukk with him when it seems like his ego was just going crazy which a good manager would've helped control.

I've learned the opposite. There are certain people that I'm really great friends with that I realized I can't vacation with. While there are others where we aren't all that tight at home but I've traveled all over the world with.

I should’ve said that you learn who to vacation with

I got some friends that I wouldn’t go on a 2 hour road trip with and I got some people that I never hang out with locally but we’ve been on multiple trips together

Definitely dont want to leave out that Royce was himself a raging alcoholic(by his own admission) at that time.
That likely had a hand in his career stalling.
