So far they shytting on Mal a bit too much especially Rory and Parks interrupting him like when he said to Joe “you never know what could happen when someone you love protesting” like it’s explicit
a lot of it is virtue signaling
Also putting the blame on Trump to me is a deflection because this has been going on for hundreds of years. Oscar Grant was in 2009, Sandra Bland was in 2015, and among others. The USA is the most important nation in the world and it’s evident when our black brothers and sisters are chanting the names of people that were killed and We don’t even know the names of people murdered internationally. Like when the woman died last week in Toronto her family was pleading to us.
Hate is a powerful thing and jealously is close and this shouldn’t be the time to attack people that you feel a certain way about because no body knows what every one else is going through. Moving forward from this it will be interesting to see how people were attacked by people publicly react to them moving forward because at a time like this it’s putting an extra target on somebody. But jokes gotta get these jokes off on Black people fighting the fight how it’s supposed to be done on multiple fronts.
Nobody is saying that it's Trump who started it, it's that he doesn't even act like he cares. Cacs hated Obama and started Blue Lives Matters cause dude was going at them, putting cameras on them and always on the victims side "before all the facts" or whatever the fukk they were talking about. The difference is listening, trying to understand, trying to do shyt, showing compassion and I could go on but most people get the point. Trump's main point was that if he's re-elected the military will prohibit not assassinations but people protesting, he had a photo op that the archbishop called shameless and called us all thugs and terrorists.
Of course he might've meant certain looters only but after all these things, you just shut down and occasionally call people terrorists and thugs who'll get shutdown quick by the military, that's the conclusion. Triggering, validating and supporting white supremacy advocates is another thing.
As far as racism goes, it's hard to measure how much there is compared to 2009, 1999, or 1989. The mobile camera and social media might make it seem like it's a lot worse, but rather it merely showcases how shyt has been for decades. At least other presidents tried (to varying degrees) to make shyt better, Trump is trying to make it worse.
