Every hit single (even in rap) has been shopped around by the producer and/or a writer to an A&R. The A&R gets the artist to fukk with the record… if there’s a feeling of a hit being on their hands plus have the support of the building, then invoices are sent.

One of my best friends works for Sony. I know producers and engineers that work with artists. The process you refer to is for popstars and singers. Hooks and ideas is one thing. Completely biting the song word for word aint respected in hip hop world.

Only reason why the industry is keeping quiet or deflecting for Drake because the industry NEEDS him. Its business at the end of the day.

But artistic integrity especially in hip hop world is another conversation. Its not respected.

I don't think the criticism from Joe and em affect him because of they influence on his brand or fan base... Aubrey still a student of the game whether what nikkas wanna say about him or not he a rap nerd. We know for a fact Joe influenced his style heavy back in the day when he got in nikka was rappin like Tigallo Budden. He prob been listenin to Breakfast Club for years too. He is a fan of hip hop so when figures he looked up to grew up on got shyt to say it gets to em. That why Push disses still hurt em and why he responded so quick to Infrared he prob had Daytona preordered wit how much of a Clipse Stan he was lol
