Marc probably makes good money but his overhead is high. It sounds like he financially supports a good number of people.

You can be educated and a fool, and that's what Marc is. All his shyt is self inflicted by taking on other people's baggage.

That's what Joe's been tryna tell him. Don't talk to me about financial woes when you wasting resources being a freedom fighter for nikkas moving contraband... it's either you get it or you don't.

Them spaces nikkas think they the main characters :francis:
EVERYTIME. I've listened to a few replays a while back and somebody from the pod will be talking about some good shyt and these no name nikkas keep interupting and cutting them of. The JBP crew don't help as it's gotten to apoint that they started recognizing them people as Joe's girl had a big argument with one of them a while back because the girl wasn't speaking positively enough about Joe.

That’s not uncommon among social activists. MLK Jr made $2 million in a year at his peak in the 60s from giving speeches around the world but he gave away most of his money to social causes.

I don't frown upon it, but there's a fine line to being charitable. How can you be useful to others if you neglecting your own security ?
An adult daughter you didn't know about is crazy for someone in his circumstance.

joe was right when he said they have the best job in the world.

There’s no amount of bullshyt they could throw at me up there to make me think two long days of bullshting on a couch about pop culture isn’t worth those six figure they’re getting
The fact that they cant stay off the phone on camera is insane.

Joe brought up Marc moving sneaky behind the scenes, flip confronted Marc but didn’t articulate himself correctly, Marc got fake mad at being called a sucka because he knew the cast was going to confront him about what Joe said. :mjlol:

Master manipulator Joe at it again…

*Joe poured sauce on Marc requesting a raise BTS, then sat back like Geppetto watching the puppets dance him into a viral moment that will add a few extra bands for Shadee's allowance for the month instead of acting like an actual boss cuz that'd be too much like right :ehh:

He was a full-time professor (not sure if he still is) on top of being a host for Al Jazeera and a speaker so I don’t know if he needs the money (he had season courtside tickets for Sixers years before he started the podcast), but I think it puts him in a position to not have to travel around like a salesman doing speeches.

I don’t think the show is doing his reputation any favors, but activism doesn’t pay the bills so :yeshrug:

Edit: just checked, he’s still a professor in the city
One of my wife’s friends is a student of his and says he acts just like that when they piss him off. He was on the phone doing a PERFECT impersonation of Marc, down to the stutter. I was rolling. :russ:

What's the purpose of them always touching on certain topics then tucking their tales and always saying "I'm not gonna say it.." or "Nah I'm not gonna say this.."

Not even to say that some of their complaints aren’t valid. But the alternative is to pod 4-5 shorter days a week instead of two long ass days. But to quote Don Draper “THAT’S WHAT THE MONEY’S FOR”
