Bruh. That Kaepernick talk was fukking INSANE. It was completely contradictory, and incredibly misinformed.

He's spent years talking about knowing your worth, to the point where he literally said on his show that he can't respect people who create and hold a regular ass job because they aren't dedicating themselves to their true potential. Then he gets mad when Kaepernick ALLEGEDLY (that's important, I'll come back to it) wants to get paid like a starting NFL Quarterback when he knows that's his true market value.

But there are plenty of considerable reasons why he, or anyone else in that position would reject a XFL deal.

First off, they make it a requirement that players are present and standing for the anthem. That's already a major deal breaker.

They legit don't have the budget to pay him anywhere close to his actual value. The salary info out there states that star players could make UP TO 500,000 a year. The NFL veteran minimum is more than that.

As soon as he takes that deal, it completely kills any remaining leverage he would have with a NFL team, since he would've effectively reset his own market by taking such a small deal. That's one of the key points. Even if you KNOW you're interested in an offer, if the money is well below your market/asking price, you have to decline for the sake of not damaging your market value. This is flat out basic negotiation, which someone as industry savvy as Joe presents himself to be should understand.

But the biggest reason this is stupid is that we're going off the word of the XFL to believe that his asking price was "exorbitant". First off, Vince McMahon owns the XFL. He has a famously close relationship with Trump. He's not actually interested in giving Kaepernick a platform. Secondly, they're the party that initiated the negotiations. Assuming they were actually good faith negotiations, this is a classic case of attempting to use manipulation of public opinion and the media as a bartering tool. It's like a breh trying to approach a woman, getting shot down, and then telling her she was ugly anyway.
The XFL can’t afford to pay anything close to even a nfl back up qb to Kaep. XFL players don’t even make 6 figures. The last two pro leagues failed before a 2nd season was started. They probably can’t even afford to pay him 1 million

Thats perfectly fine. And it should be perfectly fine for Kaep to say I'm not playing for less than a certain amount. That's the point that everyone is trying to make yet Joe wants to try to kills him for that.

he’s acted real childish on the last 2...always interrupting parks and rory and joking about who they picked or can’t pick next time and his picks have been elementary as fukk...steve harvey??? him interrupting rory and joking @ his choice of chris lighty (last ep) was disgustingly immature

Anybody got a link and a time stamp? Both them white dudes are like nails on a chalkboard to me, one tries to talk like he cool and the other one sounds madd dorky, I would like to hear Budden interrupt and shyt on them, lol

I kind of agree with Joe tho. Because even if he was picked up by a nfl team. It’s almost certain would not be guaranteed contract or for multiple millions. Dude just don’t want to play football anymore. It’s going on 4 years. That pressure may have got to him just like a 3k or Jay Elect.

Let's not even bring up the NFL cause we all know they'll never let him play again. If he signed with someone in the XFL, he easily becomes the biggest story in the league. People who have no interest in the XFL will watch just to see him play. It's like when the MLS signed Beckham. So because he wants an amount(which we have not seen any official numbers) that he believes he's worth that means he doesn't want to play? He and other believe that his presence in the league would generate revenue that they would not see without him. So why not seek to be compensated appropriately?

It really seems that the XFL offer was just one made for the sake of saying they did it, and perhaps to further the narrative that he doesn't want to play. Because now he's supposed to just take whatever someone throws his way, according to some.

Just heard the Joe Rory debate about Puff being in the music business. :laff:

Joe was wrong and strong af :russ:

Typical fukkboy behavior. The louder Joe gets, the wronger he is on whatever he's arguing 100% of the time. Then he runs out of fake points and ends the discussion and starts calling whoever he is arguing with stupid or other 3rd grade names :francis:

Still entertaining though

I don't even know why Rory entertained the music business argument . Yes Joe was wrong, but the whole discussion was completely irreverent to the publishing convo. If you have my publishing and I want to buy it, why would I give a fukk if the music business is a major focus for you or not In 2020 in the context of me wanting my shyt? Lol

I'm not even sure what you are arguing. All we ever said is that just because he doesn't want to play for less than what he believes he is worth, that does not mean he does not want to play football.
