Rogan probably got sick of YouTube flagging shyt, and all those different rules they're starting to have about videos that can be shown, smoking on camera, etc. This is a huge deal for Spotify.
I imagine Budden knew this deal was in the works in some capacity, and that's why he's been making all these little side comments about the renewal talks. I'm sure this hurts his ego though, and I hope (for his sake) that he doesn't think he's on Rogan's level. Interested to see what happens this summer.

Unless Joe understands that Rogan pulls more listeners so get more money. Will Spotify show the videos of Rogan too? Why don't they do this for Joe budden?
And if Budden et al were to leave where do they go? Tidal? I'll wait for the YouTube drop if so unless tidal don't allow youtube to view the pod
They probably gave Rogan whatever he wanted.. I doubt he gives up his YouTube audience...
I wouldn't even know where else to go for his podcast..
I'm sure Budden knows he wouldn't get what Rogan got, but they definitely deserve more than their first deal.

This article in The Verge says that Spotify just started testing video with a couple big YouTube kids. So video for Rogan will also eventually be exclusive to Spotify...i'm guessing once it's guaranteed to be in a good place. I imagine Budden will want that same promise in their renegotiation?
Joe Rogan getting $100 million is insane. I wonder if this solidifies the JBP moving elsewhere next year. I can’t think of any other platform willing to pony up millions of dollars for exclusivity.

Joe gotta ask Spotify for 45-55 million for 3 to 4 years. They gave Rogan 100 million. Buddens Podcast, helped put Spotify on the map in a major way for Podcast audiences. If Spotify doesn't pay, I believe Budden can get that on the open market somewhere.
