If Joe want his cartoon version of the podcast on adult swim . Get McGruder to do the art work. Give mcgruder a percentage the deal with adult swim . The ad will be easy since sooo many artist have music coming out and adult swim is not bad with ads . Just have people submit the music you can play it during the story telling of some of the episodes . Hell I would put unrated version of the podcast on adult swim ....
It’s passive entertainment.
Even with the market being nearly flooded you like you mentioned you can listen while doing several other things. Running, lifting weights, car ride, train, laundry etc
Not many forms of entertainment/education/distraction offer you that.
