I was aware my mom put shyt on layaway for me when I was a kid years back and I still enjoyed the idea of Santa even if you're aware your parents/family are getting stuff for you. It doesn't lessen the holiday, but beating it over your kids head and making them aware santa is fake, Christmas is a corporate holiday and your parents buy these gifts because America says so.
