The pod has been something hard to get back into as I stopped during the height of their Jay-Z Is Like Malcolm X dic-kriding, then the Spotify bullshyt and the weirdness with the COVID era pod eps.

Random question but has Budden ever discussed in detail his problems with drugs on the podcast? Not just bringing it up when a young rapper or something is going thru something drug related on some reflective shyt, I mean like in-depth, heartfelt type shyt? Just curious.

Dude always strikes me as a functioning drug addict, even still today, I don't think he's beaten that shyt yet. Yall call him this and that and judge his character/personality traits and shyt but it could be bro has a problem. Aint all his ex broads say he has a drug problem? Even the last jawn said he's still heavy. That could be the reason why he's this and that and everything else fans/the media says he is.

I remember he touched on that before, I know he openly speaks on his past usage...I think homie still has a problem though and no one is addressing it, they just critique his weird moves and question his decisions. All people took away from shorty going off on him last time was he got freaky with his dog...that was really it, no one even mentioned that she said he was heavy on drugs and alcohol and shyt and she'd come home and he's passed out while the baby is going crazy and shytting on itself and all that. People only care about shyt after shyt gets too far...prior to that it's all jokes and memes and shyt.

On the pod, it's mostly brought up as jokes (him trying to race a train on dust, talking about molly on Street Soldiers, etc.). I don't remember any real in depth discussions about it.

He’s on alcohol and weed (occasional?) for sure right now. Maybe adderall and a few pills
