Def a different vibe for them since the pandemic and Spotify saga. Last year or so they’ve chosen their words way more carefully because they’ve watched this go from a niche podcast to one that a lot of people listen to, they’ve watched their words on the podcast come back and affect their personal relationships.
Meanwhile Ice and Ish came in not giving a fukk they work day jobs and don’t care if people on Twitter come for their head. The energy was definitely up.
You nikkas gonna be listening to every episode Wednesday/Saturday just to cry about it lol... that’s the wildest shyt to me....
The Ice & Ish shyt was cool but I told y’all... there’s no way in HELL that was lasting for the long run... Joe can’t have them on there talking that freely... it’s cool for the fukkery lovers but nah... Joe can talk all that “safe” shyt he wants... but when two nikkas that don’t have industry ties to massage talk wild... it ain’t good for business... that shyt was about to start going left... Especially with how Ice is.

That's a pretty good observation.
You can tell Joe has a really good grasp of broadcasting (or podcasting in this case). I guess his stint as a radio broadcaster shows.
His energy is never subdued and knows how to use his voice. Ice and Ish's naivete really injected much needed life.

Especially because they’re two dudes with opinions but nothing to stand them on. At least Rory and Mal are doin stuff w/ music or around the industry, Ice is basically a career Twitter user (who already had a failed podcast) and Ish works in lumber and construction
