was it Ice's takes on Griselda? the Kevin Samuels conversation? the Ice and Ish drop?

Rory seems cool and over it for the most part but Mal still seems super hurt

Rory is a Joe Budden STAN before all else. He grew up idolizing him and his music. He’s an abused partner at the end of the day. Joe can disrespect him, break up his relationship, let Akademiks disrespect him, etc and he will continue to come back.

Mal looks at Joe as most of the industry does: he’s kind of a clown but that’s his man. He stood by him when Joe was a cornball drug addict with no money, and Joe thanks him by disrespecting him? I don’t blame Mal for not really wanting to mess with Dude.

Edit: Anyone familiar with Joe from the JBTV days knows he used to keep a white guy like Rory around him. A super Stan that would do anything he asked. Rory is just the current iteration.

Low key this pod feel like Joe Budden is the emotionally abusive cheating husband and Mal/Rory are the housewife who don’t feel loved and respected as they should feel but can’t leave because they are financially dependent on the husband. But finally muster up enough courage to leave. So they go live with moms for a few weeks and the moms like you can’t be laid up in my house all day I need my space. You gotta figure what you gonna do. So they run back to the husband. The husband like baby I didn’t know that’s how you felt, I would’ve changed a long time ago. I’m gonna become a better man for us, I wanna grow old with you girl. Months down the road the nikka ain’t change and it’s back to the same shyt.

he's a narcissist. i know that word gets thrown around a lot in society, but if you understand the seriousness of the condition... there's a limit to how much a narcissist can invest in anyone or anything other than themselves.

Word. On the outside looking in, and with no degree in psychology, Joe seems like a textbook case of a narcissist. Which helps you understand why he responds to things the way he does. It seems emotionless but it’s deeper than that.

Bro I never mentioned this before cuz I do hate nikkas that complain all day, but yo the way Rory talks is dumb annoying. Over pronounces the shyt out of words that end in a c/k sound and just overall better than you voice. I would NEVER have a dude like this in my circle so listening to this clown talk for 2 hours is unbearable.

Mal and Rory are back? Them numbers must've slipped without them. If they did it's not because of them necessarily, its the chemistry...audiences love familiarity and shyt like that. It probably worked for a while just off the "wow, this is new" effect but once it starts seeming permanent it makes sense if the numbers dropped and fans was like Nah.

It could be those conversations on the YouTube channels where Joe was getting interviewed by his manager and the Patreon CEO. I had no interest in watching a sec of any of those joints because they looked nasty and self-serving for Joe.
