I've always gotten the sense that Joe wanted to see how Rory & Mal handled the intense level of scrutiny that he has faced in his career. Joe has no shame, he has been the butt of the joke on his own show quite a bit. No Joe Budden joke has ever been off limits. If Mal was accused of jerking off a pitbull I could imagine him making months of cryptic sad tweets before he ever came outside again.

Im ready for Joe call MAL and tell him he should take a few pods off.... Dude is a buzzkill at this point. He quiet 80% and then when does go in on a topic hes loud and wrong. And he never makes a good argument. The whole floyd shouldn't fight Logan Paul thing was annoying, shyt wont have any effect on his legacy and he getting a bag. Rory was cool this episode but the tension overall is still lingering.... Just feels like when you and your Ex get back together and you just realize shyt aint the same
