It all goes back to business, regardless of how lazy Mal or Rory might have been with the podcast, it didn't really blow until it was the 3 of them.

Just like everyday struggle blew with all, joe and nes. Regardless of who did the heavy lifting the show was a hit because of the chemistry.

If Joe felt like he was doing them a solid by paying them at all cool.

But you can't own something have, a deal and contracts and then expect your employees to come in every day see things grow and not want either more money or a piece of the business especially when they are integral to that growth.

That's nuts,

The problem is Joe at the end of the day.

He hooked them up, as friends (so he claims) the show popped during that run, the friends wanted more and Joe was like nah y'all don't even do nothing.

So instead of breaking off his homies more while increasing responsibility via contracts, growing the pod more, and smoothing things over.

He shuts it all down to yet again move on to something different.

The only thing is now it's a pattern that the world can see and I don't know if the people follow him again.

He'd do well to start rapping again:manny:

Charlamagne and Joe Budden probably have known each other for wild long and have had hundreds of long conversations about things...I'm sure anybody else who knows Budden could have made these same predictions, lol. None of us know him and can see what type of person he is if you're inquisitive enough, he's one of them dudes who isn't comfortable with comfort, when shyt is going good he gets antsy (because he thinks it won't last) and subconsciously tries to fukk it up. Self sabotager 100%

This guy gets it. Joe moves like the old days eventhough he is an advocate for change. The new way of doing business isn’t tyrannical owners, it’s a team, it’s equity, it’s a vision even if they bums, your job as a leader is to make them not be bums and get the best out of them. Agree with all your points here, from slaughterhouse to everyday struggle to podcast, he always blows it up

The podcast lol! When it was just Rory and Joe, that shyt was weak. When Mal came on, the pod got rejuvenated. What they helped build versus what they negotiated are different IMO
what you see on here is a revisionist history of people who didnt follow the show which sort of has me wondering why im even arguinig with people

Joe has the mentality that a lot of yall have in life, and hes a smart dude and a great artist, but hes a conman in a lot of ways and uses people and relationships to get ahead hes always been that way....he plays the part that is comfortable

lets look at his career quick and you can see a reflection

after joe fell off 04-05 he went underground and rapped against the mainstream cuz it worked for him, though some of it was genuine (we also got great music)

but the first time he could he tried to go back poopular and make hits (song with wiz , wayne ect) and switch his whole style

then when that didnt pop he went back to the antics

same at complex same here, he is what he is man
