I’m listening to Star. This dude called in and said this is a good thing for Mal. He called him a glorified entourage guy who slept on Joe’s floor, slept on his guest room, and lived a certain way for so long that it’s now time for him to grow and make a way for himself in life. He could also see him joining another entourage.

Mal planning on being the hottest free agent to test the entourage waters in the next few months.

I see him doing a sign and trade and start rolling with the Taylor Swift crew.

I thought he did an audit, he didn't break open the books for them to see the podcasts finances which is what I thought they asked for.


Him now saying that they're overpaid means what exactly?

What he meant is that they get paid more than the industry standard, but that was never the point of contention.

Joe said neither of them ever asked for a raise or a contract renegotiation, they ultimately had an issue with their position as employees with no say in decisions being made. It sounds like there was an attempt at forcing joe to give up equity and rory's probing into accounting has joe feeling like rory is causing the discontent as an outsider.

There's a reason joe broke down the reasons he felt neither mal nor rory has created a damn thing on their own, he did that so he could later explain why they didn't deserve equity in his platform when they did the bare minimum in helping build that platform.

In Joe’s mind he paid more than anyone else would have paid Rory and Mal to host a talkshow, and they should have been happy with their positions as employees considering their value. Rory wanted to be more than an employee and it sounds like mal fukked up siding with Rory over some shyt that really wasn't none of his business. It kinda sounds like Rory was the only one with an issue with their position, Mal probably got roped into that bullshyt trying to be on some integrity shyt when joe told rory to take time off. Thats why Joe sounds disappointed in Mal but sounds like he wants to slap Rory.

I KNEW he was going to go down this route with Rory and Mal when he went on that 90 minute Eminem rant 3 years ago before the Spotify deal went into affect.

Before that Em rant, Joe was praising Em as one of the GOATS and was damn near talking about him the same way he praises Hov. Then after the whole “Revival” situation and Em dissed him. Joe went full “I never liked you anyway !!!” on Em and completely burned that bridge with him. Saying shyt like “I was better then you for the past 3 years!” like he wasnt praising him pior to that.

I remember hearing that and thought “Hmm..he can sure switch on you and tell you how he REALLY feels if he feels slighted. He’ll do the same shyt to Rory and Mal…”

All that talk about ownership this and creatives that meant nothing. That was just smoke and mirrors. All Joe wanted was a seat at the table with the Lyor Cohens, the Hov’s, the Diddy’s, the Steve Stoutes, etc. I mean he ALWAYS sided with Lyor and Diddy when they talked about contracts with other artists and shyt. That should have been a clue where Joe stood.

Joe ruins EVERYTHING he touches. Every relationship he is in goes to shyt. Weather it’s business, friendships, family, or romantic relationships. He burns it to ash…and THEN blames them!

This shyt literally left a bitter taste in my mouth. And idk how anybody with a least bit of integrity can still listen to his show again after all this.
