What does that have to do with the topic at hand? A Rory and Mal pod would be trash. But to deny they added value to the show is some dikkhead shyt. Plus they're his friends. Joe is a wild boy.
They helped grow the podcast. Asking for equity aint a crazy request. They should've just done it at the appropriate times. If you go out and start working for a startup right now you'd get equity. Hell just about any tech job is giving equity as part of the compensation package. Joe doesn't have to give it to them but it's not a wild thing to want.

Your ass must not be paying attention to this thread because when Rory and Mal walked off a whole lot of folks in this thread agreed with them and said they don't need Joe and they should get in the podcast game. So now Joe fired their ass and if they do start their own podcast are they going to be supported by those who wanted them to start their own shyt

Finally listening. I don’t see what the issue is. They were scheduled to do an episode and decided not to come into work, so Joe was like fukk these nyggas. They are wasting time, resources, fukk them

Who the fukk is listening to a Rory and Mal podcast?I think Rory / Mal can get a similar bag @ barstool or really any other platform looking for content. Barstool would like to get somethin like a mal / rory podcast and they already have other podcasts bigger than the joe budden podcast. Unlike Joe, barstool has actually proven they know how to build a network of podcasts.
Joe looked at them as employees providing content, and compensated them accordingly. other platforms will look at them the same. If ownership is off the table either way who cares? Difference is these are ACTUAL platforms. Joe has a podcast (that rory and mal helped build) that he thinks he can turn into a network
Joe is getting his actual money from revolt and ventures outside of this podcast. I think some of yall confuse that w/ him caking off the podcast or his ‘network’

Got to be honest...when I see people say this I am so confused. Maybe if Mal called in some favors from his years of being a Professional Friend © they could do an interview type thing, but even then neither strike me as engaging or charismatic enough to really keep a real audience long term. I just don't see the draw and if everything they said today is true neither did any of the companies they negotiated with.
Regardless of how anyone feels about Joe good or bad that nikka is a talented talker and always has been despite him being a fukking nutcase.
I disagree. Joe isn’t complex or a record label. He’s their friend. If Savon bytched about money i doubt he’d be hurt or offended like this. If I’m your mans and you come to me about accounting, your telling me you don’t trust me. I don’t know how I’m supposed to keep moving with you that way. ESPECIALLY if I’ve bent over backwards to keep you solid.
