Joe using this moment to force his audience over to Patreon isn’t getting enough attention.

He thinks his fanbase will do anything he tells them to do.
some of'em will.

some of the patreon comments be NUTS...like stan level shyt...and lot of them never even heard a budden song till he played them on the pod...so they literal stans of the man

Yeah that's nasty to me. Ultimately, though, he'll probably get about 100k subs on there. He's got a good fanbase

joe saying they prob didn't read the contracts to begin with, and only after the fact when they finally did, and that's what sorta sparked it all the accounting stuff
They behaved like typical artists, if so.

I guess they thought doing business with their friend they didn't have to worry about what the contract said

That little rapport with his audience he was bragging about on No Jumper goes out the window with some listeners and can shrink his audience over time.
I think that going behind a paywall now isn't smart cause this is the most buzz he's ever had in his public life.

But, maybe it makes sense financially. I dunno what his patreon subs look like

To be fair, I been wondering how he would get people to pay for stuff they've been getting for free...

This is a great opportunity because people are eating this shyt up, why wouldn't he use this moment? Between this and having the Ice and Ish pods on there im sure that patreon has gone up considerably this month.

I’m not gonna victim blame (or whatever some folks consider Rory and Mal) but all that friendship shyt goes out the window when you sign that contract. That’s what the contract is for. It prevents anything from getting twisted with the money. You negotiate in your best interest then ride it out until the next reup. It’s especially important when dealing with somebody with a public perception like Joe :pachaha:

This is where I feel bad for Mal at, because I don’t care what anyone says bro, Mal and joe were damn near fam so he more than likely went in thinking “this my mans he got me” but at the same time Joe probably felt a way when his mans sided with the Rory. Like y’all been saying though, business trumps friendship at the end of the day.

Rory is going to be good he is white and has his cac Reddit audience on his side

Joe continues to talk about wanting that Bill Simmons and Joe Rogan status, but he ain’t gonna get that with the lineup he currently has on his network.

I feel his best bet is to just continue working on his own and not relying on co-hosts at all. Use yesterday’s show as an exercise since it’s something he’s never really done on the podcast...and when you occasionally get some guest co-hosts like Ice and Ish or other friends, great. Otherwise, continue to do the solo thing, rants or no rants, because that’s what people truly tune in for whether they admit it or not.
