Yeah. Plenty. Companies go over revenue, profit and expenses. I get all that. The difference is, if you don’t believe them, what happens?

If I call in to Tesla and ask Elon why this person is making this, you don’t think he going to tell me to get the fukk off the line. :mjtf:

I can’t remember any conference call where people call in and ask why such and such is making this amount of money. :ld:

I’ve been on conference calls and even reddit AMA’s where they absolutely grill the CEOs and CFOs about financial decisions. “Why are you purchasing this company at this price, whats in it for me” “Why do you employ this many people” “Why do we own this and that”.

They usually answer alot of the tough questions, in a smug way even lol.

Who do I follow out of curiosity? Is it the heavy hitters?
I would think AMS for sure has more followers than Joe based on youtube views and the fact he's been on there longer, He's probably the most popular person.

But I follow about 7-8 others who do similar numbers as Joe on youtube and none of them have ever disclosed their # of Patreon followers.

See. I get all that fam. What this stems from to me is that Rory doesn’t believe Joe.

It’s one thing for the CEO to have to answer the tough questions. It’s another thing if after they answer the question, the person that asked it says “they don’t believe them, let me see the books”.

That’s all I’m saying. The CEO isn’t going to let people look at the finer details of the accounting without a case for why they want to do so.

They ain't ready for that comparison in here.

High key, THIS is the shyt jokes need to he made about.

LeBatard kept an archive of ESPN audio, and talked Draft Kings into a pretty decent licensing deal, while making sure all his people are alright.

And the funniest part is the event that kicked all this off was ESPN trying to fire one of his staff without telling him. :mjlol:
Yeah I wanted to bring up the LeBatard angle a few days ago, but everyone gonna go ahead and ignore it lol. They even talked about it (this situation) a bit yesterday on his (Dan's) podcast too. Pretty similar circumstances (from the outside...again, no matter what y'all keep keepin' on in here about, NOBODY knows what the real facts are), with completely different outcomes. I wonder why that is...

damn. the biggest Patreon only has like 40k subs?

https://blog.patreon.com/top-patreon-creators

Joe should, presumably, be able to get that.

That should just tell us that the barrier to entry to turn a ‘listener’ into a ‘subscriber’ is higher than we thought. People who assume that half or even 25% of the listeners are going to subscribe to Patreon are nuts

Edit: Also telling that they’d advertise that top Patreons make up to 200k per year. That’s less than I thought it would be

Did Rory and Mal say they did and audit and found that they were overpaid?

:mjlol:

we have only heard Joe’s side. The person that has motive to lie and a person that is a compulsive liar

Will be interesting to watch. Maybe they don't say much since this is going to court but they can clarify a lot of stuff without legal risk.

Joe is a sociopath. He's a liar. He sat there and compared this to being accused of cheating, as if he hasn't cheated on all of his women. But like I said, Parks and everyone else (except Rory and Mal) still being down makes me wonder if those two bums are simply idiots. Maybe the other guys simply said "as long as I'm getting what was offered I'm good. The accounting gimmicks have nothing to do with me." Or maybe Rory and Mal are bullshytting.

Complete apples and oranges. It’s the difference between the business of that podcast vs. the business of all Joe’s ventures. Your manager manages you and guides you through diff ventures. This specific manager came years after the podcast took off, and hasn’t played much role at all in its success, other than putting the battery in Joe’s back to turn down tens of millions from Spotify because he thinks he’s the Walt Disney of internet content :snoop:

Joe would rather give it to someone outside of the business (business being the podcast) than one of the key components in the actual business. Rory has been one of the 2-3 most important people in the business of that podcast since it’s inception. For Joe to include Ian as opposed to someone on the actual show, shows that Joe is more concerned w/ the business of Joe Budden than the business success of that specific podcast.

And that’s all coming to a head now. Joe was all too giddy to boast on the podcast how he has a million dollar deal w/ Puff and Revolt and how he’s already rich. I 100% respect that, but it also shows a lot about Joe that he can be so happy about the business of Joe Budden while the business of the podcast is in shambles.
This is where we fundamentally disagree

He doesn’t show it because the few dumbasses that are paying will realize they paying for some bullshyt nobody else is.

now if these patreon episodes brought something different to the table than the regular podcast I’d feel the different way. But my nikka literally posted the regular podcast, deleted it, then put it on patreon.
The patreon vids do bring something different

They edit out a lot of content for YouTube

I seriously doubt that you've been on plenty of those calls or have a sound understanding of the topic based on this response :francis:

Lol this nikka Joe fired his “friends” because he’s a “boss” and they asked for a basic contract benefit offered to millions of middle class workers. All while whining about how the labels and platforms were handling him the same way. Joe mentioned that they could only give him a ballpark estimate of what he would receive, meaning that he is probably entitled to a percentage. He has every right to request an audit and Joe will likely be compelled to if this goes to court.

I reckon we are all workers on this forum for the most part, but you can tell who doesn’t know what basic compensation packages are for halfway decent jobs. At any decent tech company for instance, you get 5/6 figures worth of equity walking in off the street and having contributed nothing. You don’t even have to be in 6 figure jobs to get this.

Its not some huge favor from Joe. Employees who contribute far less to their companies get that. Joe doesn’t understand that and only understands shady music industry style dealings which is why he fumbled his show at it’s peak value on some crab shyt.
Lol at you using what other companies CHOOSE to do(meaning they are not OBLIGATED to share equity) to try and dictate what joe CHOOSES to do with his own company
