I'm willing to bet that most popular podcast give equity to the cohost of the show regardless of who came up with the idea.
Podcast started out as alternative media that went against everything the mainstream media stood for. Anyone could start a podcast and build something extremely lucrative in ways that the mainstream still don't quite understand.
Joe wants to run his podcast like a mainstream media platform, it goes against everything this nikka has ever said. That's fine if that's what he wants to do, but don't be such a phony ass nikka about it, especially to your friends.

Rory arguably was there from the beginning, and Joe practically begged Mal to do it for free, Mal made himself reliable and did it, and was the highlight when he joined. Both got there during the creation stages of the podcast, and played an integral role in its growth.
