after hearing both sides it seems like the problem is with the Cashapp and Patreon deals

Joe has said those are both his deals he got for himself(Patroen) and the Pull Up(Cashapp)

Rory and Mal think they deserve their percentage for those deals and Joe doesnt because they arent pods deals,they're Joe deals

Joe was on live... talking about the situation with rory and Mal givng up a paycheck to the staff. He said how does giving up your check to people who already get a check help the situation.

But Joe, how can you tell other people what to do with THEIR MONEY?!!?!??! That's not your place loooool

It's not his place, but if they doing that and Joe not, that makes him looks bad to the cats that ARE actually his employees (since we know Mal & Rory are not) and can lead to split loyalty. So I'd feel a type of way too tbh

they are percentage partners and asked to see the accounting. It never comes at all, and the lil he shows is on a excel spreadsheet sheet lol.

they ride it out cause they don’t think he stealing but at the same time still want to see the paper work for real. Never get it and anytime they ask for anything they get attitudes from joe.

Well Joe fukked up by mixing his personal deals with the bottom line of the pod. Rory and Mal get paid off the bottom line of the pod. If cashapp is from the Pull Up, why is he shouting them out at the beginning of every pod?

he said something like paying them money you didnt have to would confuse them and eventually make them think they're being cheated

far as the cashapp thing,thats how sponsorship goes

they pay Joe to promote cashpp,its up to Joe to decide where he wants to promote them

it was on the Pull Up and he brought it over to the pod when the pandemic hit/spotify deal ended

he didnt have to do that

thats why he always brags about "the deals went away and nobody took a paycut" "nikkas got raises"

he paying these nikkas from his personal deals and they think they deserve a percentage

if these are Joes personal deals then it doesnt count towards the pod profit sharing

I feel like Mal is confused on the whole "Joe said we never broke bread" part though. He didn't say Mal never tried to hook him up with shows or back him up on street shyt (hell they been to jail together). He said he's never even been to Mal's crib, he didn't know where he was for several years before he came back to NY with Brandon Jennings, etc. Seemed like Mal was a character in Joe's world, that would ghost when he did his own shyt and then come back and contribute here and there. Just my take on the way it was described. Also been a running joke on the Pod over the years, doesn't seem like any of them know much about Mal's life outside their interactions together

Joe's fault in the end for sending Excel spread sheets
I can get why Mal would let it go that far if he never got a real job but Rory should have known better

And I'm saying the Pod was most likely why he got those sponsorships

Idk the terms of the contract so I can't comment if they were supposed to get it or not just for Joe advertising it on the Pod

Either way I never heard of a lawyer who would hop on a podcast to clear shyt up

It’s not that simple. He wants them on a fixed salary. It’s beneficial for him to pass on podcast deals in favor of individual deals, especially if he plans on paying his partners with the money from those deals. It wasn’t a stand up guy move, he was manipulating them until their contract was up.
