doesn't he do the same job on ALL of the JBN media stuff including pull ups? him and savon prolly the only two who can get that line off tbh

It's about intent. What I'm saying is I don't think Mal was holding that card just so he can put it in Park's face later. I'm sure if Parks hadn't been dikkriding as he has Mal wouldn't have even put the emphasis on his name like that.

That's a good point. I am on their side but I feel like those were the 2 missteps out of an overall solid response.

If Joe is telling the truth about the chain of events about the Tidal deal than Rory played himself. Their beef really is they thought they were more partners than they really were and Joe apparently has made it very clear that wasn’t the case without saying it. And they just let the shyt fester until it blew up in their faces. Joe’s been consistent about that with all the I treated them like friends instead of being the boss.

(for those that didn’t watch his live, he claims that when Elliot asked Rory to lunch, Joe was already in negotiations with Tidal and he already gave them his terms and they didn’t like it. Essentially insinuating that they targeted Rory as the weakest link in order to sow division.)

Of course that’s the issue. But that’s not how Rory and Mal spun it. They spun it like Joe is an ego maniac who wants to be the one running shyt all on his own. (Probably true too). But they’re not reliable narrators either. If Joe is in the middle of a tense negotiation to make real money for himself and the podcast, then him being annoyed at Rory for being used as a pawn would be annoying. How he handles it is wrong and that’s their beef really. The truth is usually somewhere in the middle.

The Patreon thing reads as someone who felt like he went above and beyond to make sure everyone is good and he felt like they spit in his face about it. (To be fair, i 100% believe they offered that first month check out of spite). Joe is like a wife who’s been beefing with her husband for a few weeks and tried to make a peace offering by slaving all day in the kitchen to make her husband a meal and he comes in and says “nah, let the kids have it, i want to make sure they are full.” Her response in a fit of rage will most certainly be “I already fed them!”

Not that I agree with mans but…
Maybe cause he’s entertaining, I know mad people who follow mad people they consider to be fools or shady but they follow them cause they are good at things.

While you can be, being emotionally invested in the people who entertain you is not a must
