Anything that comes out of Joe's mouth is straight lies.....you honestly want people to believe that you would rather not touch the YT money the podcast makes, but go into your personal savings, grab LNHH money, and SOTC bread, to fund the podcast instead

I got this same response when I criticized Ak for riding so hard for Joe on this, when a year or two ago he was crying about how betrayed he felt when Joe tried to get over on him in their contract renegotions. You can fukk with sombody and still call em out on their bs.

If Joe is telling the truth about the chain of events about the Tidal deal than Rory played himself. Their beef really is they thought they were more partners than they really were and Joe apparently has made it very clear that wasn’t the case without saying it. And they just let the shyt fester until it blew up in their faces. Joe’s been consistent about that with all the I treated them like friends instead of being the boss.

(for those that didn’t watch his live, he claims that when Elliot asked Rory to lunch, Joe was already in negotiations with Tidal and he already gave them his terms and they didn’t like it. Essentially insinuating that they targeted Rory as the weakest link in order to sow division.)

See but even the Tidal thing is bullshyt bc Rory said he didn't negotiate on behalf of the pod, but took numbers back to the owner...and Joe flipped the fukk out. He didn't refute the point about him getting the same numbers that Elliot passed to Rory....he tried to high side and say it came from Hov lol.

In Rory eyes I has a friend, friend asked him to go to lunch, during the lunch who’s friend is a part of tidal says “hey we would like you guys over here, this is what we would pay you” Rory leaves and tells joe what was said, joe goes crazy on Rory, all Rory did was relay a message, he clearly said he didn’t agree to shyt. He brought a message back to joe.

that’s the issue, joe handles emotions like a bytch, coulda been like cool thanks for letting me know Rory, literally all Rory did was relay a message. He had no say in the shyt at all, he just relayed a message.

If Joe owns the IP and they're already in negotiations, what value is there in Rory speaking to Tidal?

Joe has said those are both his deals he got for himself(Patroen) and the Pull Up(Cashapp)

Rory and Mal think they deserve their percentage for those deals and Joe doesnt because they arent pods deals,they're Joe deals

Nah. The issue is they have a percentage based contract but never know what the percentage is based on. They feel like contractually Joe needs to tell them and he feels like contractually he doesn’t. I think the issue is Joe gets a podcast check, pays all the bills, and then pays Rory and Mal their percentage off of what’s left. Rory and Mal feel like they are entitled to know what all those expenses are as well and Joe doesn’t.

he said something like paying them money you didnt have to would confuse them and eventually make them think they're being cheated

it was on the Pull Up and he brought it over to the pod when the pandemic hit/spotify deal ended

he didnt have to do that

he paying these nikkas from his personal deals and they think they deserve a percentage

That's dicey. Let's say Rory goes to Mal and Parks, says Joe rejected X amount from Tidal and they feel some type of way. Two of them got engaged, I think they all got new cribs. That undermines the pod and any negotiations taking place. Elliot and Tidal were smart to do that, especially if this was during covid with no Dussepalooza and touring.

Overall, we agree we wouldn't have handled it that way. The Patreon deal announcement showed they were never on the same page. To avoid that, lines should've been drawn.

It's probably in the contract but I'm surprised they didn't define or hint at what constitutes podcast profit in their response.
