If this is true, after Rory and Mal's response, it seems like Joe could have just explained it like this to them, they would have been fine with it. They still would have wanted to see the books, but they would have been cool allocating money to different places.

I've been personally boycotting all things Joe Budden since the mixxy boys left the first time. But I might tune in on Wednesday if the pod isn't 3 hours long
I’m done with pod. I just wanted to see how this played out but honestly this has taken away too much of my attention.
I never really looked at it as Joe and the stooges but now that we know for sure that’s what it is the show isn’t as appealing to me. I’m not tuning into Joe and the yes men. Too many other good pods now a days
