@FreshAIG is spot on.

Ish cooked them up with that debate. If high school jobs are getting paid 40-50k a year, what’s the incentive for nikkas to get an associate/bachelors degree?

Or what are you gonna pay the people that do have their degree?

Joe Budden would have gaffled you something crazy.

This is a ridiculous stance. You don’t have to have some crazy increase in prices. What makes them unqualified? So someone who works a job full time doesn’t deserve to be able to afford an apartment? You’re out of touch.
Yes you do have to raise the prices. The increase in wages cuts into the expenses, which decreases the profit and revenue. If I’m a business owner, I’m in the business for MAXIMUM profit.

It seems like the price goes up regardless.

I swear to God I use to be able to get a combo from a fast food spot for around $6 bucks. That shyt has doubled in price over the last 10 years, but employee wages stayed relatively the same up until recently.

Makes no sense that a place like in n out can pay a living wage while selling higher quality food for cheaper than a Mc Donald's big Mac combo, but I'm supposed to believe that none of these huge chains can figure it out?

I'm not buying it breh.
They can pay a living wage. Pay a living wage to everybody isn’t ideal tho. That’s when you’ll see more machines and computers instead of actual physical employees and then you’ll get increase in menu prices.

None of y’all took economic classes and it shows.

The minimum wage debate was good, glad someone was there to combat Ish. Every job should pay a livable wage. Minimum wage has never risen at the same pace as inflation has. Minimum wage is 7.25/HR it was 4.25 30 years ago lol. That's a 3 dollar increase lol. If minimum wage increased with the price of inflation, minimum wage would be $24.00/HR.

It would be $12.89. But yeah, it would be much higher.

None of y’all are giving any real economical reasons as to why, instead y’all are on some moral shyt.

Did you post the economical reasons why they shouldn't? In 1968, minimum wage was 1.68/hour. And that was a livable wage. So had minmum wage had gone with inflation like it had been doing before, it should be at least $12.89/hour.

A good manager doesn’t fire people. He hires people and inspires people.… "People", Ryan. And people will never go out of business.

:mjlol: @ pretty much every post you've made on this topic

:russ: @ the possibility of making 40k one day being the primary motive for someone to go to college...if making 40 grand to work at fast food is a deterrent to higher education, that person was wasting their time and money in the first place (and many people are, college is in large part a fukking racket)....you can do that now as a fukking waiter easily

:russ: @ spouting all these "let me cape for billionaire capitaist against my own economic interests" talking points....while at the same time thinking the goddamn minimum wage is gonna stop these greedy soulless corporations from automating the work force....like that's not an absolute inevitability following the "maximize profits at all costs" logic
