Joe Booden would of eventually got that $100 million spotify bag….if he just stfu and stayed in his lane.
Not even that, but if he had just WAITED.
For all the learning that Joe says he's done from other successful pelt, it's like he refuses to learn that every single one of them was patient, and got their money when the time was right.
His entire issue, with Spotify, with the network, and even with Rory and Mal, is that he keeps trying to rush to the endpoint without putting in any of the necessary work.
He probably could've gotten Rory and Mal under contract under terms that were more favorable to him but still fair, if he just took his time.
He could've easily gotten a fukkton of money from Spotify if he took two seconds to try to see the business from an angle other than his own, and cashed out down the line.
The issues people seem to be having with the content right now is less about the content, and more about them having whiplash from their being pretty significant changes being made with very little time for people to adjust. Other shows that move content to subscriptions have shown that as long as you give people notice along with tossing them a bone in the form of the occasional free "bonus" preview, they're good.
Instead, he's moving from goal to goal and profit stream to profit stream without taking the time to pave the road in front of him, and it shows.
It's frustrating because it's clear that the people who still listen are clearly dedicated. They're just not getting the same kind of dedication back.
