You're not objective, bro lol. And they don't work for KD. I shyt on Joe when he says stupid shyt. A lot of the things he says is for content, which is entertaining. Regarding R&M, yes, the YT numbers are not where they were when they first started, but they have leveled out.... pretty good for a podcast that doesn't thrive on interviews and guests

But this time Joe was frustrated with him during the Drake convo and was mad he didn't listen to the Beyoncé song. These are without a doubt the biggest releases of the year. They have multiple episodes talking about these drops leading up to the discussion and he couldn't take a couple minutes to listen to anything?

1 - I'm saying you're not objective. I don't care about you shytting on Joe once out of the blue. Even in the R&M thread, you spit the same shyt that's been proven as false. Is continuing to say that R&M are signed to KD objective?

3 - A podcast they release without guests gets around 100k views. A normal release from them usually winds up around there. Sounds pretty level to me. Interviews are exceptions to this rule.

It's funny to hear ppl critique these lyrics as if there is not precedence for artists speaking to experiences outside their own. Anyone who is familiar with Beyoncé's catalog knows her single lyrics are generally catchy, simple, to the point and lean towards empowerment.

Survivor, Independent Women, Irreplaceable, Single Ladies and even Sorry follow that template and 2 of those breakup songs were made while she was in an active relationship.

Good point but perhaps on the devil's advocate tip, it feels like this song is different. Being an independent, single lady is a pretty standard perspective going back to the sexual revolution of the 60s/70s. Some of the lyrics on this new song feel like the directive all the songwriters got was that it has to be current to the social media meta. You've got people out here claiming Beyonce made an anti-capitalist, anti-work anthem. Mere weeks after she crossed picket lines during a union dispute to go to a party lol. I definitely think that when you live in a carefully crafted bubble, the only way to touch outside of that is via the young artists and staffers who surround you. That goes for politicians, artists, whoever. So she thinks this is what people are talking about (spoiler: it's not, outside of twitter) and here we go.

The flip side against that argument is pretty simple: there are probably 1000 pop, dance, and r&b songs about ditching your cares/job/etc to dance the night away. Or "it's Friday night just got paid" songs. Etc. So her doing it isn't forced, and our reactions are the product of social media which didn't exist when those other songs came out.
