Yeah I've been noticing that same trend of them stepping on anything she says which is becoming so corny.. Like she can't respond, rebuttal shyt even ask a question.. They don't do it to anyone else but her.. shyt is weird as fukk..
I don't have my cape out for Mel or anything b/c she says some wild shyt at times, but it's just so overt with them it starts to get uncomfortable and these cats don't even realize or just don't care. Just constantly shytting on her whenever she opens up her mouth. Super weirdo behavior.
Joe encourages the shyt and they all follow along like puppets. I said it early Joe and Ish seem like they hate women or at least the one's that are intelligent enough to speak her mind and leave them looking like idiots.

They’re 1-2 years away from Joe dedicating a full podcast to arguing that he always treated Melyssa fairly, she was always ok with the jokes and never said otherwise (so it’s her fault for not speaking up), shes really just mad because her pod failed, she’s unappreciative, etc etc etc.

The hip hop journalism convo...the problem is twofold. On one hand artists and managers (rightfully) complain about the unprofessional, click-drven, drama focused lean of most "hip hop journalists." On the other hand, the rappers and managers (wrongfully) refuse to engage with any hip hop journalists who are doing the right things. Incentives and rewards matter. The longer the real people are starved out and unable to get any work, the more likely they are to outright leave the industry or start doing the dumb shyt that gets clicks.
The hip hop shyt a lot of us grew up on is largely disappearing from the mainstream Kendrick/Cole/Drake are prob gonna bet the last real rappers we see reach the top of the game. It's being replaced by microwave melodies, mumble rap, vampire/goth aesthetics, etc. The preferred media platform is streams. Loud, obnoxious, unprofessional, oftentimes racist/sexist streamers are the trusted "media" sources. There is no room for actual journalists in this era. So maybe it would be a good idea for the last champions of "real rap" to actually support them in some way
