shyt, none of the classic Black sitcoms from the late 80s/90s are hood shows imo. Of the shows that reached syndication and are held in high regard Family Matters just aged the worst out of all of them imo, as an adult that shyt is really unwatchable to me.

It may just be this tbh. I've rewatched Fresh Prince/Martin/Wayans Bro/Jamie Foxx show a few times or have episodes on in the background and they still hold up. I never crosses my mind 1 second to put Family Matters on.
