Man, she straight up went into vicitim mode when Marc made a fair point in his discussion. She didnt have a rebuttal to his point of basically saying Mel wants him to shutup if he not agreeing with her. So she pivots to people crossing boundaries when they joking and all that to weasel her way out of the Marc convo

Normally I'll defend Mel but she straight pulled that female BS of arguing 100% off of emotion with no fact to back it. Any time anyone says well I don't have specific examples they need to just kill their argument and tell the other person when they finally have an example. BUt to keep arguing while still acting they are totally valid is ridiculous.

I think the problem is most of her adult life she probably never really had men challenge what she says because they were trying to get access or maintain access to her. A lot of dudes probably just used to nod their head and agree with the stuff she was saying when she was younger even if they disagreed. Now that she's older and gets push back, she takes it as a personal attack. Granted there are times they pile on her, but Marc always gives clear objective pushback.

facts - all her life brehs been trying to hit so they'll agree, nod or be silent - shyt, prior to Marc's arrival she was considered "articulate". That dynamic shift, plus a man actually questioniong - even if not maliciously - what she says, from her perspective, reads as he's out to get her

Nah, I've heard that same thing phrased when people talking to rich people/people in power complaining about getting treated like regular folks in situations. I guarantee you he has used that phrase in a more serious debates when talking about white privilege or the elite/upper class stuff. Still a bar and good line when you can get it off though.

From my understanding, women hate being referred to as a female because it's dehumanizing. A female can be a deer/cat/dog/turtle etc, basically any other thing with a vagina. Doesnt really have anything to do with mostly negative of it because if it's a negative thing, even if you switch out the word female, it would still be a negative generalization. For example if I say "All females are trash drivers", substituting women in that sentence would still be a problematic sentence for people.
