I like Mona, I've seen/heard episodes from her own podcast but I don't think this is going to last too long. Joe and them start to violate when they get too comfortable, all it takes is one slick comment.

Mona will violate them back. You’re probably right that this won’t last long, but it’s not because they will violate her - it’s more likely because she will violate them and not take the usual shyt these dudes take from Joe. Mona is not a nobody like say Ice and Ish prior to the pod (I know Ice was a tweeting ass breh), but she has effectively carved her own niche online and doesn’t “need” the JBP though the bag and exposure are nice.

It’s kinda like Marc - he doesn’t need the pod - it’s just nice being out there and getting an extra bag for it

I think she got that pretty woman intelligence. In that with her being as fine as she is she's not used to people pushing back on the shyt she says so them tools ain't as sharp as they could be. I think she could be a good podder just not on this pod.

Mel never struck me as particularly intelligent - and that's not a slight nor confirmation that she isn't.

I just never got intelligent nor articulate from her. What I did get was that she often plays it safe, tiptoes the line and waits for where a consensus in the room will land before being agreeable. Now whether that's her personality or if she was conditioned by the environment is a different discussion.

She actually comes across exactly how I expect an attractive video vixen to come across - surface level takes on a lot of topics, not a lot of honesty/being forthright on a lot of topics, playing coy on some, and a compulsive need to be liked and treated as special. A chameleon of sorts. And to me it makes sense because from lived experience - anecdotally - that's how a lot of attractive women navigate life/work - especially one that made/makes a living out of the proverbial "male gaze"

She funny, know how to still get her shyt off in a room full of men, is not just limited to bird babble, and also isn't gonna get bullied around because she's witty and quick tongued. Maybe because I'm familiar, but I don't get the comparison with Flip. She can be turnt up, but she ain't one note like Flip and definitely not nearly as ignorant to countless subjects and experiences like Flip "I went from 5 to 40 without any cultural experiences beyond what happened in my hood" schtick. I think the addition will be great.

On the Joe Budden Pod 1 hr 8 min mark Joe gave the common sense suggestion that women should wait to have sex to see who they’re really dealing with instead of getting involved then complaining “he wasted my time.” Mel started juelzing and making excuses, pointing out the small percentage of married couples who hooked up on the first date.

While Melyssa Ford and her old self has told young women listeners to "do it all" because "men are going to judge you anyways", there are actually 25 year old Gen Z women warning younger women about the mistakes they've made.

I don't get the Flip comp either, i been seeing it everywhere.
Flip is a dumbass, actually he knows more than what he lets on but overall hes pretty uninformed on a lot.
Mona can actually use her life experiences to give educated opinions on some topics.
