Nah Ish is a full time goof. Albeit all of their sports takes are doo doo. Regurgitated shyt at that.

But when he admitted to being mad at Pablo Torre, a journalist and a good one at that, i knew this surface level ass nikka is dense.

I couldn't believe my ears when he said he was mad. Someone should've asked him if Watergate was snitching.

I hate how these dudes are so fixated with money that they just worship or salute anything whenever they hear big sums. I just started and I’m at the Netflix/Warner segment and all I’m hearing is “I can’t get mad at that”, “big dogs”, “salute” and praise like recap of Netflix history and what they could do - cool, then Marc said “some people are unhappy though” and instead of letting him present a different perspective they immediately got dismissive. Joe was like “who could be mad at this? Don’t politician me to death Marc” - and that’s just disappointing and anti-intellectual. You don’t have to disagree with the acquisition but at least hear everything first.

Consolidation is seldom good for the consumer. Less competition and a monopolized market allows the big dog to run unchecked - even more so than what they already do. There’s always loss of jobs as positions become redundant/obsolete and Netflix will have their own people they want to run shyt. Creators have less outlets to platform their stuff and give them fair deals, and that’s without even broaching Netflix wanting to kill the cinema going experience. There are genuine arguments/considerations to be had, but Ish and Joe like “ah, it’s the old guard that’s mad”, “the world is changing”

:beli:

That’s all a byproduct of the glorification of the hustler mentality: “If it makes money you have to respect it.”

Not tryna dismiss Meeks claims but he clearly has been struggling not being mainstream anymore. Expensive Taste being a flop was the straw that broke the camel’s back.

From the outside looking in, and not knowing specific details, Meek comes across as entitled.

Yes, in an ideal world people would share information and/or help build you up, but realistically people don’t owe you these things - and coming from Meek especially - it feels misplaced considering how hip-hop has rallied around/for him more than once.

Also, when it comes to entrepreneurial ventures - often times the “information” that people can provide you with is/seems very surface level and/or cliched. Often times the people asking for the information want you to take action/situate them rather than tell them where to go or where they should be placed - and that isn’t always feasible, so they lash out.

Someone’s net worth being XYZ doesn’t mean they will be able to provide you a $5million loan off of the strength of brotherhood - and not being able to do so doesn’t meant they “hating” on you.
