From what I can tell, the general Trump supporter is a miserable person who uses politics as an outlet. They will remain miserable and angry, just move on to a new outlet. In some way, Trump might be preferable to whoever captures them next given that Trump is incompetent and largely wasted his time in office chasing headlines.
