From what I can tell, the general Trump supporter is a miserable person who uses politics as an outlet. They will remain miserable and angry, just move on to a new outlet. In some way, Trump might be preferable to whoever captures them next given that Trump is incompetent and largely wasted his time in office chasing headlines. Whoever comes next will probably be worse.
