I wouldn't say it's better. It's nowhere as bad as FLstudio stock sounds that. Maschine does open REX files, so if you have Soul School you can import those.

ay so I just got my maschine. and I can see this is gonna be a big learning curve for me, coming from all software. but i'm trying to slice a sample right now. I just opened up a whole song. is it possible to delete entire portions of a track?... right now I have it in 16 equal chops. but I wanna edit out all the talking and bullshyt I don't need. like how I do it in cool edit or FL slicex. can I do that in here?
You have the option to Truncate parts of a sample within the Sampling menu once you have the WAV file open, but generally, I like to either:
- sample directly into Maschine from the soundcard
- or, chop up the sample in Cool Edit/Audacity and load that file into Maschine
You know honestly, Im still running version 1.6 because I found the chopping and slicing options to be waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay easier, so I might be giving you outdated info...
