Only North, and South Memphis are rough.And maybe sometimes west of Memphis.Like in the white-haven area.but despite that, Memphis is pretty safe.

Memphis is one big ass hood.

Folks will tell you that Germantown and Collierville are nice and you have nothing to worry about, but Memphis isnt like other big cities where you have a buffer zone between the hood and upscale areas. I dont care where you are in the city, its a short walk to the hood.

Did you see that video of them idiots beating Kroger employees with pumpkins? Some of the richest people in Memphis can look outside their window and see that shopping center, but so can the poorest. Them big ass houses in harbor town are literally one block from a hood.

I'm in Little Rock but I got family in Memphis. That's my hot spot, it's straight tho. Police go hard. You'll want to live on the outskirts of Memphis- Bartlett, Collierville, Germantown. But like somebody else mentioned the hoodness seeps to those areas too.
