If Speight is gonna have accuracy issues, then yea.. I'd like to get Shane more snaps. And O'Korn got benched his sophomore year because of a total overhaul in the offense, which didn't suit him.

Breh, I've watched, played and coached enough football to know that Speight ain't got 'it' and the fact that he might cost us a shot at a Natty pisses me off. This team is damn good. Especially the defense. But we're not good enough to carry his ass.

Speight obviously did more then okorn to get the job according to harbs and he knows qbs. Im definitely not throw morris's ass out there agaimst wisc, msu, or osu. We just gotta roll sith hik this year till peters gets it next year or the young gawd mcafferey.

Fact is the only Harbaugh recruited QB on the roster is Peters

Are you seriously comparing the Brady Hoke coached Shane with the Shane thats being coached by Harbaugh, Fisch and Drevno .. in his second year in this system? You wanna know something? In Shane's appearances this season (at QB) .. he's looked just as impressive, if not MORE impressive than Speight has. Speight is the king of checking down and letting Butt or one of his receivers do the legwork. To me, that screams mediocrity. That wont beat the upper echelon teams. That wont win the B1G. Shane is more athletic than Speight also. This doesn't mean that im screaming for Shane to come in, but i think a change does need to be made. Because this season can be lost in the blink of an eye.

I hate the fact that a 2 fumble and 3 INT day is the only way we see another QB get extended run for this squad. And at that point, we'll obviously be losing whatever game he gets pulled in.

One more thing about Morris him&Speight was here when Harbaugh 1st got hired all throughout the Spring they went out got Rudock in June he won the job 1st week of fall camp.One guy was the backup the other RS what's that telling you

That's completely untrue Speight won B10 player of the week 2 310 yards 4 TD's.Who cares if he's checking down long as its the right play you supposed to get the ball to your playmakers allow them to make plays.Again I'm not completely sold on him either but unsure of this team has our o-line opened holes vs a very good defense except Florida?RB's look good vs a good defense except FL?We'll learn a lot more about this team this weekend as I said before the season Wisconsin front 7 is no joke the O-line Speight&RB's better show up

This is college football level qb....i think his inadequacies are being overstated in this thread....all of the "bigger" profile young qbs like eason and rosen and hurts etc are as bad or worse at this point. Speight has been 'pretty good' and is getting better imo. He is way better than ruddock at this point.

I agree. We'll learn more about our boys this upcoming weekend. I DO know that check downs wont cut it vs. the Buckeyes, and Spartans and whoever we play in the postseason more than likely. He's been feasting on teams with little to no talent at linebacker. He's gonna have to throw the ball further than 5-10 yards to keep teams honest. Im just not sure he can do that.

What do you want...? I don't think any of us think he is johnny unitas but he is a pretty good college qb based on what we see so far. I think some people want a unicorn with a helmet on sometimes....in our livetime Michigan history how often have they ever had that guy??

At this point in their careers (first four starts) only chad henne has been as good thus far.

the only people that has a problem with speights play is the ones who wanted o korn to start. Speight hasnt done anything to warrant that he cant do the job and I trust in out coaching staff to get him better each week as they have. Yes he has glimpes of inaccuracy, hes a college qb. He can make throws hes not panicking and hes not turning the ball over. Yall got the nerve to be talking about shane morris what in the hell has he ever done.

Yall need to get a grip. I watched Rudock screw up a simple 6 yard screen pass to Drake johnson against unlv last year. Thats the easiest throw in football and he bounced it off Johnsons laces.
