Najee Harris is more of apriority than DPJ or Gary last year. The secret exposure of last couple years have been the lack of a running game. Maybe that solves itself with the graduation of deveon smith but if we are to have the NFL conservatism in tight moments, we must be able to hand the ball off and control.

Agreed we also need better oline play Mags Kalis Braden aren't good enough against elite competition.Cole struggled some this season but I'll give him a slight pass since it's his 1St season playing center.Kalis is in the Kevin Grady realm as far as 5* star busts imo

I think we are #5 in the CFP. I really think if Colorado beats UW, we get in the top 4 still. I dont see Clemson losing to VT as even a remote possibility. I dont think the committee will view Wisconsin-Penn St as the legitimate Big Ten title game. Conference championship matters, but we beat Colorado, Wisconsin and Penn St head to head. Plus TV ratings with a matchup with Alabama on NYE. An Alabama vs Washington/Penn St/Wisconsin matchup on New Years eve with Bama being favored by 14 or more would get record low ratings

Most certainly addition by subtraction. All of those redshirts being burned are going to pay off. Guys like Bredenson, McDoom, Asiasi and Crawford wouldve rotted on the bench behind some 5th year senior that didnt belong in Big Ten football in the Hoke years. Speight has to start the Florida game at least week 1, but I trust that there will be other options just in case of faltering.

That offense is pretty horrid. And I don't see it getting that much better. Not that quickly anyway.

We could beat Florida next year even if Nick Sheridan were to come back and QB for us.

I disagree. Didn't he tell them 5th year seniors to kick rocks last year. What upperclassmen is he catering to? Some people seem to think just because some recruit has 4 stars then he's instantly better than people already on the team and that's not always the case.

Chris Evans Ty Isaac and Karan Higdon were all better than DeVeon Smith towards the end of the year. And if you tell me that smith was a better pass protector, I'll call bullshyt. He fell the fukk off towards the end of the year. He's solely responsible for Speight's pick 6 for not picking up the lineman.

Kyle Kalis stayed at RG for the whole year when Michael Onwenu couldn't have been any worse.

He should have emptied out the bench more than he did this year. OKorn DEFINITELY should've taken more snaps this year.
