Maybe because they had him in competition when he was clearly the better qb and he knew this was bullchit. They finally got good qb play for the first time since jake ruddock and here come Michigan fans wanting him Benched :snoop:
Their passing numbers are nearly identical. JJ has a higher completion % with one less touchdown pass and 4 less interceptions. McNamara threw for slightly more yards through the same number of games.

It’s not the QBs it’s the system and Harbaugh. Same system that’s turned our wide receivers into bums.

All our QBs regress as the season goes on. They all look great to begin their careers. Then something happens and they turn to garbage. Macnamara looked like Tom Brady coming off the bench be Rutgers. JJ looked like Brett Favre at times last year.

Not so fast my friend. Michigan threw a grand total of once last year in the second half vs tOSU. The Buckeyes still look suspect after watching Penn State, Northwestern and Maryland control the line of scrimmage. If Corum is healthy I’m predicting 5.5 yards a carry and a whole lot of TOP.

Cade McNamara was not gonna lead us over teams like Georgia/Bama etc. JJ's ceiling gives us a fighter's chance.

I also forgot JJ didn't have an offseason as he had a shoulder injury.

This offseason he needs to focus on his footwork
I think the shoulder injury might be affecting his touch, because his misses are literally so close i think it’s the added touch of a healthy shoulder

There’s a lot of revisionist history here like Cade didn’t look like a bum to start the year and lose the job. Cade’s best passes last year were to All who has missed the entire season and to Wilson who has missed games. The Michigan WRs have underperformed a lot this year. JJ misses some deep shots but those guys are rarely wide open. Bell is not an outside WR and Johnson can’t catch.
I think it’s the comfort of when he went deep it wasn’t misses that were close, Cade would check down and I’ll admit that, ultimately i think something is off with his throws be it footwork or the injury affecting the touch, also our patterns could be better/scheme

He was horrible this year. No progress after an entire off-season. He was not done wrong. Jake Fromm and Stetson Bennett fought out for a year...then Bennett did the same thing with JT Daniels. Twice...and won...and won a Natty.

If he was outstanding we would've seen it. He was terrible against scout team level defenses this year. THEN he got injured at that.

So it's irrelevant in the first place...we'd still have JJ, just a less confident version or worse, he'd transfer.

Quit giving these terrible WRs a pass fam

To be fair JJ/Cade wasn’t the issue, it’s a clear line and we just ain’t got the talent to compete, when i seen Walker (who was playing Dt/DE blow up a pulling guard who probably will engulf most front 7 dudes, you know it’s a line and we ain’t there period)

Travon Walker was the first pick in the draft for a reason.

Yea, we got styled on last year, but that was our first time in the playoffs. We'll learn and grow.

I don't think we're as far off as some people say that we are.

Jj did not look like no damn Brett favre last year. Only thing he did was cost them the msu game.

Y’all can say whatever y’all like. Cade had the best qb play since jake ruddock.

Cade did not regress as the season went on last year he got better. And he should’ve been allowed to have an off season as the starting qb and a 2nd year. Not have to look over his shoulder at a qb he was better than

I don’t care what nobody say. You not telling me Georgia so much better than Michigan that they can’t even get a drive. Michigan talent level ain’t no damn Mississippi state

PSU and UMd both threw the ball against them, can Michigan? Knowles will stack the box, use run blitzes, and dare Michigan to beat his not so great secondary. So regardless of Corum's (and Edwards') health, Michigan should be prepared to throw AND CATCH the ball.

I think Weiss will design good gameplan, I just don't know if the WR can execute it.

Jesse Minter held fOSU to less than 30 points without having an organic pass rush!

The offense wasn't perfect, but man they really answered the call despite not having their best player.

This is insanity and I'm loving it. I can't wait to get back to C-bus and talk shyt.
He should be Michigan's next head coach. He is INCREDIBLE in terms of halftime adjustments
