As a black alumnus:
The university president—Larry Schlissel—was fired for this nonsense a few years ago. People on the academic side were trying to find ways to get him out of the paint for a minute and discovered his affair with another university employee. The University and the AD have so much factionalism it may as well be Westeros. So, how the hell did this idiot think an affair with another employee (who allegedly worked under him) wouldn't get out?

Edit: it happed awhile after he was already fired and it sounds like whatever actionable evidence was given to the university wasn't something that could be recanted.
