Conor was fukking Diaz up low key, he landed some tremendous shots, Diaz took a lot of punishment, Conor got discouraged when Diaz didn't drop from the blows, he also didn't respect his power, because him and his brother often throw those pitter patter shots then when you less expect through a heavy shots behind it

Also think the fact Diaz is a southpaw played a factor, but Conor was easily winning the fight until he got hit by the straight left which is was right on the button

He wasted energy with those worthless wheel kicks he never lands on anybody lmao, I thought he would use the spin kick to the mid section against Diaz, he landed soe good body shots but not enough, too much head hunting, I'm remember he predicted he would KO Nick with the left uppercut, but he could only really connect with the right uppercut, which were good shots that hurt nate, but he never landed the left uppercut clean like he wanted to do

all in all he just needed to be patient, and focus, he got mentally defeated when nate kept coming despite the ass whooping he was putting on him, but he should've expected that because outside the head kick from Josh Thompson, Nate has never been stopped

All in all his ego got the better of him, he didn't respect the bigger man shot, and he needs to tighten up his defense

For the life of me I don't know why he doesn't spar with Andy Lee who is also Irish and a very skilled boxer, Conor's never gonna be good on the ground, so he can't afford to get rocked on his feet like that

all in all I think Conor can beat him in a rematch now that he's been humbled, he can make the adjustments in his training
Hopefully this so called rematch allows Nate go have a full camp first

If Nate had a camp I doubt he gets hit at all like he did in the first

Dos Anjos is a southpaw breh so he had to have been sparing southpaws already. Try again.

Dos Anjos doesn't have good hands or range, the inside leg kick is only think he would have to worry about because as southpaw he could throw that

He needs to spar actually southpaw boxers, but you have no clue what you are talking about

lol at acting Nate Diaz out boxing him, he landed one shot because Conor wasn't attentive, and when you are fighting a heavier person you can't make those type of mistakes, he didn't respect his power at all

two different types of fighters

Also if the fight was at 155 Diaz would've lost, the weight helped him

he took a tremendous beating

What excuses

he got caught and lost, it happens in fight sports, you idiots acting like he was outclassed is what's funny

the reality is he still gonna smoke whoever at 145 and 155, and Diaz is more than likely going to lose his next fight

From what I seen Conor can beat Diaz by making a few adjustments, you asked why, and I gave an answer nobody's making excuses I don't have a horse in the race

you stans kill me

You're the only one stanning breh. You were the one saying he was gonna decimate Nate, you were the one claiming he's changing the entire landscape of MMA with his movement and boxing. I don't have the time to go find all your posts about it.

Man, this is just wrong. I like Conor a lot and I thought he was going to win last night. Massive respect for not pulling out of the fight and fighting at 170. Diaz didn't win it off one shot. If you watch the fight again, right around the exact moment there are 3 mins left in the 2nd round, the dynamic changes. Conor takes a jab and looks gassed. This is about 30 seconds before the 1-2 combo that buckled him. Conor was going hard for the KO and threw 70+ power strikes and either gassed himself out, or got gassed some other way. Regardless, Diaz didn't buckle and ate those power shots that would have dropped a most fighters at 145, 155, and even some other guys at 170.

That Diaz chin is no joke. There's some stuff in this post I agree with but acting like Conor just wasn't paying attention and lost because he lost focus and let 1 shot get through is reaching. Diaz was the better fighter, that's it. The man has been a decade plus in the UFC without ever getting cut. That's an incredible career. His offensive jiu-jitsu is a good as anyone and his boxing is always razor sharp.

I will say this. Despite how he lost, Conor's jiu-jitsu is underrated and I hope he continues to have opportunities to show it. He had a beautiful 1 leg x guard sweep last night and a beautiful leg drag to leg weave pass to mount on Dennis Siver. His ability to scramble out of these high elbow guillotine is really good as well. Very underrated scrambling skills.

As far as saying Diaz "would've lost" if the fight were at 155? :mindblown: How do you know? That makes no sense. I mean, maybe, sure. Maybe Conor wou;ld finish him in the 1st round. We have no idea what would've happened. But based on last night's evidence, THAT is your prediction? :dwillhuh:

Conor got busted up on the feet, got pressed up against the fence, dirty boxed, takedown stuffed, and escaped one high elbow guillotine only to end up under side control, mounted, punched 5 times and RNC'd. It's not like this was a close decision. Conor got absolutely trampled once he wasn't able to KO Nate.

Conor wanted this fight, he took it, claimed the weight was no big deal, and now his fans keep talking this weight thing. What happened to 2 breakfasts and all the steaks and no salads. Conor said "This will feel like a sparring session since I don't have to cut weight."

Again, massive props to Conor.

Chico Camus picked up a win.

Conor used that left hand at the press conference as a way to test his range.

Nate did alright but now it's my turn.

You comin in an talkin all that "if it was me i would ko conor" came off as trolling. but lo key you called it on the money when you said once conor sees his shots arent hurting his opponent and faces adversity, he caves. Props where its due.
