Lol, I don't think the rematch happens, but then again........ the UFC is now ALL about rewarding Conor and a petty FU to fighters with a real reason they couldn't step up last minute (Aldo/Frankie)..... so yeah, its definitely happening.
If Conor improved enough in 3 months to beat Nate in a rematch... lol I'll rep that hypetrain!
No matter how this rematch is justified, you have to believe a major part of it is because of Nick's pre-fight smack. Dude said Connor fights midgets. Said Conor got no training partners, just a dork in the park playing touch butt.
Conor be stunting outside but when he goes home at night, he does soul searching. Wiping his tears with c-notes, but he forced to acknowledge, "I AM fighting midgets. Nate's team CAN beat my team's azz. Now I have to go back and fight midgets at 145....... just like Nate said...... Fook dat! I must avenge me loss. Dana. is wrong with the UFC? This shyt makes NO sense whatsoever. Conor already got his ass whooped pretty convincingly AND he has a belt to defend. Both Nate and Conor ought to turn this shyt down, it just makes no sense for either one of them's careers.

It's Ariel, he's clued in with Dana. Matter of fact he was on some show talking about a McGregor/Diaz rematch weeks ago. I still have no idea why this fight is at WW when neither guy fights at that weight.
McGregor/Diaz II at 155 makes slightly more sense. If McGregor wins the rematch I believe they can parlay that into a LW title shot for McGregor and he vacates the FW belt.

Fights retarded. Whats Conor going to do different? Be more efficient with his energy? Nate has cardio for days. Can't knock him out, can't outbox him, will be terrified of going to the ground I mean what are they hoping for? Unless Nate takes a dive or the judges gift Conor a decision I don't see how he'll win or why the UFC would want this fight.

I admit I didn't see the Michael Johnson fight before 196, but I watched it recently and bruh...... the 196 Nate performance wasn't even close to that full camp Nate.
