Putting OSP vs da real champ is close enuff 2 a freak show. OSP cnt even beat guys in top 5, him vs da champ on short notice is jus ugly. I wld rather see da fight postponed.
what postpone it when you can have dc vs jones at ufc 200

plus dont act like jones doesnt need the work, he hasnt fought in over 14 months

Look at the LHW division, Jones has almost cleared it out. The 2 best fighters remaining are Rumble and OSP. There's a good chance Jones would've fought OSP in the future.

not really, i can see a rematch vs gust and potentially 2 fights with rumble in the future. hes kinda cleared it out but theres a lot more fights left for him there

maybe even a rematch with bader

osp is really down the totem pole, this is his only chance at jones and he better make a good showing

Look at the rankings, Jones has pretty much beat all the ranked fighters in the division, minus Rumble and OSP. Other than Rumble/DC II/Gus II, there's nothing left for Jones. Not only that, there's no up and coming fighters that could make noise in the future. If Jones plans to stay at LHW, there's a pretty good chance he fights OSP:

Being 6-7 best LHW isn't 'really down the totem pole'.

Jones has been saying he's going to move up for years now.

Yea but has he ever put that type of deadline on it?

There's a clear talent divide in the LHW division. You have the top contenders(DC,Gus,Rumble) the gatekeepers(Glover,OSP,Rashad,Bader), and then everyone else. Once he beats those guys, he has no incentive whatsoever to stay at LHW. I mean what would he do, keep rematching the same guys? HW is wide open.

Add in the fact that he's 28 now, AND you got Conor McGregor willing to move up and fight damn near anybody(which matters IMO), and the odds are high he goes to HW.

I'd bet money he moves up within two years.

Ovince St. Preux though :whatmayne:
You got Rumble and Teixiera and Gustafsson and even Rashad, but you pick Ovince :cubewtfmayne:
I'd rather see Jimi Manuwa against Jones than Ovince :fohmayne:

Rumble and Gus have medical issues, he has already beat Glover and Rashad.
:ohhh::snoop: bad timing I guess.
Isn't Gustafsson cleared to train after that KO loss to Rumble tho :dwillhuh:

anyway I predict it will be an easy win for Jones. Submission round 2 or 3 imo
