Lol after what happened to Ronda, McGregor's recent antics and I am sure the early # for the 1st ppv of the year he basically had them over a barrel. I am only intrigued to see him against maia other than that with all that time away he is going to be relying on his wrestling even more than he did in the tale end of his initial run


Ps if this comes to past I wonder if they give him an immediate title shot, teach maia a lesson

If GSP does sign, he will get an immediate title fight. Unless, he chooses to take a tune-up fight. shytty situation for Maia though because he's def deserving, but GSP is one of the GOAT.

They got this timed right before a title fight. This dude Maia better not got screwed over, he deserves a damned shot win or lose.

Nobody who has been away as long as GSP should go right into a title fight imo. These cats never look the same. Cruz talked a lot of crap about no such thing as rust but he opened up against a mediocre opponent for all that bragging. These dudes should all take a tune-up fight to make sure they've still got it in the tank to hang with the murderers at the top 5 of any division.

As much as dude could botch a call or two, dude has great chemistry with rogan

Anik, rogan and DC were had to listen to in the prelims, awkward silences and them talking over each other. Got better during the main card but it wasn't the best

I'd like to see Stann be the fighter in the trio. Stann is no emotion but does a good job on technical break downs so I think having Rogan with him would help pick up his tone a bit.

They are playing with house money and with the unpredictability of MMA they are going to engineer a win win situation, he'll get the instant title shot and I am sure they will hope the winner (preferably wonderboy) gets a rub

I feel you and agree that I'm expecting GSP to jump in and get a shot at the belt (probably thinks he has the formula for Wonderboy after the Rory fight). But I'm just skeptical about the product and as much as he's a legend and deserves respect...I just finished watching BJ Penn get demolished on his third misguided comeback in a row and before that I saw Fedor take massive head trauma from Fabio Maldonado of all people. Add Chael forgetting to hand fight to the mix and I'm just through with the old stars being used for ratings grabs (it was actually the topic for the first piece I submitted to FTESWL and I plan to expand on the concept). We've just got a lot of evidence that this ish is a bad idea and the only reason it continues is that it generates ratings, we're not getting good fights out of it for damn sure.

GSP needs to get in the octagon as soon as possible then on the real for how he left Hendricks/ufc fans high and dry after that dusty finish (not to mention the amount of octagon time we have had to endure of him fighting not to lose) his karma is due
