I dunno if he can at 34 and being basically all muscle but Lombard might be better served at 170 than 185. He's gonna get tossed around and neutralized by taller/bigger wrestlers all day at 185.

I don't disagree breh, i'm just pondering possibilities. I just don't see how he deals with an Okami or a Weidmann at 185. They grab him, put him down and keep him there until he gasses all day.

Don't agree with this. His td defense is ridiculous. His Judo is world class. He's very good at getting up and has great subs.

I'd love to see Weidmann VS Lombard in May.

His Judo would really only help him in the clinch. A wrestler with a good shot will nuetralize that imo

I'd love to see Weidmann VS Lombard in May.

i'm not trying to diss or deny him even if I don't like him. I just don't think he'd deal well with relentless pressure from bigger wrestlers. His height/ lack of reach/skillset is better for 170 if he can do it without shutting down his kidneys. He'd feast on the Koscheck's of the world


i'd bet actual money on Weidman and wouldn't think twice if that fight got booked
